End of Another Successful Summer Youth Program!

We can’t believe it, but our 2016 Summer Youth Program has already finished! We had a wonderful summer learning about community gardening, cooking, public speaking, hydroponics, haybale gardening, and our Grays Harbor community. Here are just a few of the many things our crew members got up to this summer:

Having fun with team-building on a ropes course! Can you spot Megan flying through the trees?

Working together to sift compost before adding it to the beds. Only the best makes it into the garden!

Have you seen our haybale beds? We learned all about new ways to make the most of our garden space!

You can also check us out on page A2 of The Daily World from August 9th. And remember - the Summer Youth Program may be done for the season, but the garden is not! We still have Community Workdays every Tuesday from 3-6pm through the end of October. This is your chance to see the summer crew's work in person, help out in the garden, and maybe even take home some fresh veggies! Hope to see you there!
